Let's learn together.

If you are searching for something on the search engine then you will find that the word / phrase / sentence you are typing in the search field produces some sites containing the words / phrases / sentences you are looking for.

The word / phrase / phrase that you type is commonly referred to by keywords or keywords by bloggers and internet marketers and is their weapon in order to visit from you.

These keywords do not necessarily appear or are immediately pulled by google (or other search sites) but there is a mechanism that occurs when you are typing these keywords on a search engine.

The keywords appear on the search results page because they have previously been indexed by Google robots after the website or blog owner registers a sitemap owned by the managed site to Google Webmaster Tool (now called Google Search Console).

We all know that Google is the most widely used information search site in the world. Almost every second there are people who use google to find the required information.

Without bloggers may google will lose its market, therefore google webmaster can be used for free by every blogger / webmaster in the world.

Going on the first page of google is a prestige of its own. In addition to pride, appearing on the first page will provide you with a great income through visits from those search sites.

Does a site appear on the Search Engine Result Page directly when someone is looking for information?

The answer is not at all.

In order for a site to appear on the google SERP page, the site must be registered in advance by the blogger / webmaster concerned through the following form.

Once registered google robots will crawl the site and then do the indexing in the database google. And this is not done manually but with the help of a robot or better known as Google Bot.

Google bot is a program that is tasked to search for information based on keywords (keywords) that typed by someone who then automatically robot other issued information based on these keywords in the google search results page.

The term indexing refers to the sorting of information by categories defined by Google as the owner of the robot.

Therefore you should follow the guidelines for webmasters that have been provided by google (or other search engines) so that your blog or website can always be visited by netizens.

In order for the website / blog can appear first page google the first step to do is register the site in google search console with the note:

Suitable format.

If you do not register a site map according to the format desired by each webmaster tools, then how will the webmaster robots crawl the content contained in the website?

This is the first factor I think why your site / blog is not on the first page on google?

Another factor can also be because there is a bad link between each page blog / site, or content blog / site you are too heavy (like the number of ad scripts).

If you register the site map correctly then when you login dashboard google webmaster tools will show the picture above.

HOW TO REGISTER SITEMAPS in Google Search Console

  • enter your blog address / site
  • Verify your ownership of the address of the site / blog that you input.
  • choose how to verify your site / blog. There are three options how to verify your site address is yours first by using meta tags, use the verification script on the body of the website / blog, or by creating a new page with the verification code title provided by google uploaded an html file, verified with the Provider of the domain name, using Google Tags, using Google Analytics.

  • For beginners this is where the appearance of your site map error message looks like a html page. use the official sitemap format.

What is an OFFICIAL SITE MAP by GOOGLE?

In the basic seo guide from google mentioned that sitemap is required for two types of visitors.

People who visit our site after they type a word / phrase / sentence on google site (or other search site) robot / crawler / spider (whatever the name will be). This is a system that crawls content on your blog / website to be indexed in search engine databases and displayed when a google search user searches for information with words contained in the content. To create a navigation menu that will be accessible to humans, you can find the guide in some tutorials that are spread over the Internet. In this article I focus on visitor robots where you get your site map error message  looks like html page. use the official sitemap format when registering the sites you manage.

If you read the webmaster's guide from google on this page , then you'll know that the site map is meant to be a site map for visitors to the robot. Visitors in the form of robots from this search engine are not visible. And they crawl your site in its own way and schema (which is set by google or other search engines).

These robots follow the protocol set for them. To find out more about how to complete the crawl command you can visit the robottxt.org page  .

I am not explaining in more detail how search engine robots work because of my lack of it in the field, but the core I get using sitemaps with the .html extension is not the site map that this invisible site visitor wants.

Especially for unseen visitors (robot / bot / spider / crawler) sitemap format that can be crawled by google robots or other search engine robots sitemaps that are in the following formats:

  • XML
  • RSS, mRSS, and Atom 1.0
  • Text
  • Google Site

I will only cover two formats: the xml sitemap format and the RSS sitemap format , mRSS, and Atom 1.0 . Why only two? Because as long as I am blogging I use only two formats in submitting sitemaps to webmasters (Google Search Console).

And both are seamless to be listed in Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster.

# 1 XML, Standard Sitemap

The standard sitemap I've been viewing and submitting to the webmaster is the XML format. Both blogs that are hosting on blogger.com or hosting on wordpress.com site map used is this type.

If you are curious how the form of site map hosting in blogger or wordpress add /sitemap.xml behind the address of the blog or site that you manage.

Example:

1.1 Sitemap Blog Hosting at blogger.com
The blog address you get from blogspot is namablog.blogspot.com, so to get your sitemap just add /sitemap.xmlbehind the address. The result is as followsnamablog.blogspot.com/sitemap.xml

1.2 Sitemap Blog Hosting at wordpress.com
Like a blog that uses blogger.com (blogspot) the address you get in free wordpress hosting is namablog.wordpress.com. So to get the official sitemap you just add /sitemap.xmlbehind the blog address. Like this namablog.wordpress.com/sitemap.xml.

Easily get a site map if you are hosting on blogspot or wordpress? What if you selfhosting? How to create a sitemap? Later I will discuss below.

# 2 RSS, mRSS, and Atom 1.0

Both blogspot and wordpress have applications grown called RSS (Real Simple Syndication), mRSS (RSS media). For Atom 1.0 only bloggers are up to now still using.

This RSS will provide the latest URL information on your blog or website. The way you get a site map with this format on blogspot blog is as follows.

For wordpress you can see the RSS icon contained in the footer of your blog. The format is as follows.

I think you already know the sitemap error solution. In order to our understanding I will describe how to solve the error sitemap in google webmaster tools.

Conclusion

As a beginner in a field that has never been studied seriously, a mistake is an investment for success. Do not because it can not register on the site map in google then we then backed down.

Precisely most successful bloggers, even those who already have their own business through managed blogs, do not stop to always learn. Because when a person feels enough, that is the beginning of his destruction.

The late Steve Jobs advised students at a graduation ceremony, Never feel full, try to always feel hungry. Or about so the message. CMIIW.

Learning self-taught is not why, but having a strong community will make better practices and results.
