Increase website traffic using google image search

Google Images search

Google search engine indexes images in your web pages. When someone uses Google Image Search to find images on the web, what chance does your website have to show up in the search results?

If you know how to optimize images in your web pages, your images will have high rankings in the image search results. Using higly relevant and properly optimized images in your web pages will bring quality traffic from Google Image Search. Use the techniques described below for optimizing Google Image Search.

1. Use the alt attribute in the html img tag. This is the most important one. Use a specific keyword or a key phrase that identifies what the image is all about. If the image is a new car, use the key phrase 'new car', instead of car or traffic, in the alt attribute.

2. Use the title attribute in the img tag. The title attribute is what people see when they hover the mouse over the image. You can use the same text for title that you use for the alt attribute.

3. Use both the width and the height attributes for the image. If the image height is unknown, use the image width. You should always use the image width from a design standpoint. Unknown image width can break your horizontal layout forcing your web site visitors to scroll horizontally which is very annoying.

4. Put some description texts just beneath the image. For example, 'a red rose blossoming in a quite morning' for the red rose image. Make the key word, red rose, bold. When Google displays the image in the image search result page, the result page will also display the texts surrounding the image.

5. Don't use image1, image2, etc. for the image file names. just use descriptive names. For example, use new car for a new car image file. You can use the same text that you use for the alt attribute. Just hyphenate the words if it is a key phrase.

6. Choose your anchor texts in links to images carefully. Instead of 'click here for larger image' as the text link to an image, you can use 'a large red rose picture is here' as the anchor text.

7. Put all your images in a root folder and, if you prefer, categorize your images in sub-folders under the root image folder. Make sure that your robot file does not limit access to the image folders. Use the img and src tags for images on your web pages. Avoid all types of java script tricks. Goolge search engine spider will be able to index all your images. If you have descriptive image files names, they will have high relevancy in Google image search results.

8. Use Google trends to find hot topics. Use your creativity to establish a credible relevancy between you images and the hot trends. For example, if 'Hunt for red December' is the hot topic, you can use 'Hunt for red December Rose' as your image text.

Google image search build a huge traffic in any site.So that's important for every site.

Steps for Google Adsense Monetize

You can be up and running with AdSense in just minutes. Sure, you’ll need a bit more time if you want to use all of the advanced strategies and techniques I discuss in the rest of this book, but you don’t have to wait until you’ve figured everything out before you can start earning with AdSense. Remember, every minute that your site isn’t showing online or isn’t showing ads, you’re tossing money down the drain. If you don’t have a site yet, or if you’re not showing ads on your site, before you move on to the rest of this book, follow one of these guides. You’ll be amazed at how easy it is to start making money with ads!

AdSense QuickStart Guide #1: Building A Blog
Blogging is probably the easiest way to get online with AdSense fast. The sites are already online, you don’t have to worry about graphics and the domains are all set up. All you have to do is sign up, write and earn!

Step 1: Surf to www.blogger.com
Complete the registration page, choose a name for your blog and pick a template.

Step 2: Apply For AdSense Through Blogger
Another form, another five minutes. It will take a day or two before your application is approved. In the meantime, you can play with Blogger’s AdSense preview tool, and...

Step 3: Write Your First Blog Entry
Not sure what to write? Start with your family, spout off about a story in the news, put up pictures for your friends to see... it doesn’t matter. Everyone has something that occupies their mind, that interests them or that they’re good at. Put up anything. You can change it later but for now just get in the habit of writing to the Web. Once you’ve done it once you’ll see how easy it can be — and how addictive.

Step 4: Play With Your Ads
Once AdSense has approved your application, you’ll be able to start playing with your ads. You can change the colors, fix the font size, remove the border and move them into the sidebar if you wish. You can get everything geared up and ready to...

Step 5: Bring In The Traffic
It’s taken you minutes to get your site set up. Now you have to let people know you’re online. Chapter 20 will tell you how to bring in the traffic but for now you can start by telling your friends, swapping links with your favorite sites and submitting your site to the search engines. Hold off on the paid advertising though until you’ve got enough content to make it worthwhile. You’re rolling!

AdSense QuickStart Guide #2: Building An Ad-Supported Commercial Site With Zlio
Writing content is just one way to fill a site that will earn from advertising. Another is to display products for sale. That might sound hard but with a website, it’s very, very easy. You don’t have to see the products, store the products, touch the products or mail the products. All you have to do is market the products... and take a cut of the sales price. Usually, ads on commercial sites don’t work too well. You want people to buy from you, not from a competitor. When you use Zlio.com— an online store-building service — to build your site though, you don’t need to care who gives you the money... as long as someone does.

Step 1. Sign Up And Choose Your Store Name
Zlio’s registration page is very simple. The only thing you’ll need to consider is the name of the store. You might want to think about that for... maybe a minute. Just choose something that’s simple to remember and which sums up the products you plan to sell.

Step 2. Pick A Template
There’s no programming with Zlio. Pick one of eleven ready-built templates and you’re ready to go.

Step 3. Add Products
Zlio has over three million different products that you can add to your store and receive commissions on sales or even payment for clicks. I’m sure you can find something you want to sell...

Step 4. Add AdSense
In addition to placing units containing products for sale, you can also include AdSense units. And Zlio’s AdSense API makes it a breeze. You don’t even have to go back to the AdSense site to get the code. It’s all automated from Zlio’s own site.

Step 5. Start Marketing
Building the site is easy. It will take about five minutes. Bringing in customers will be a bigger challenge and take a little longer. But it’s nothing that can’t be overcome with some hard work and steady learning

AdSense QuickStart Guide #3: Building A Site From Scratch
Using an automated system like Blogger or Zlio is the easiest way to get started with AdSense but it’s not for everyone. Create a complete website from scratch is going to take a little longer... but not a lot longer.

Step 1: Pick Up A Name
The first thing you’ll need is a domain. You grab one of those at either GoDaddy.com or NetworkSolutions.com.

Step 2: Build Your Site
You can build your site yourself or hire someone to do it for you. Or you can take a pre-built template and pack it with your own content. Yahoo! has a program called SiteBuilder (http://webhosting.yahoo.com/ps/sb/index.php) that’s packed with a good range of templates that you can use and play with but you’ll have to upload the finished site onto their servers. If you’re in a rush, it’s a great way to get online and earning fast.

Step 3: Create Your Content
Keep it simple! You don’t have to pack your site with Flash images or anything fancy. Write about what you like! If you’re into fun at the beach, create pages with reviews of your local sand spots. Into skiing? Discuss your favorite ski equipment. Everyone’s got something that lights their fire. Find yours and put it on your first site. You’ll find that a site that interests you interests all the people like you... and gets you the sort of following that wins clicks.

Step 4: Apply For AdSense
Once your first pages are up and built (and none of this should take you more than a few hours) you’re ready to apply to AdSense. Fill in the form and wait for the approval.

Step 5: Bring In The Traffic
While you’re waiting for the first ads, you can start submitting your site to the search engines and building up the traffic.

Step 6: Play With Your Ads
When the ads come in, don’t forget to optimize them for your site. It’s very simple and will have a massive effect on your CTR, even at this early stage.

Tools for improve quality contents : Google Adwords

Google AdWords is the perfect match maker. When the user is searching for something and finds exactly what he needs that is what Google aims for and considers a great user experience. When ad provides a great user experience that is reflected in the Google AdWords Quality score. Quality Score is basically an attempt to describe the overall effectiveness of the advertising campaign. In other words, Google AdWords Quality score is the type of grading mechanism where grades range from one to ten, ten being the highest and one the lowest.

Why is it important to have a high Quality Score?
Having a high quality score brings all kinds of benefits. Just like it is in your personal interest to have a high Quality Score ad, it is in Google's interest as well. For that matter, Google rewards ads with high quality score by reducing the fee per ad click and giving the ads a better position on the page. In other words, the more relevant your ad is - the higher quality score and the better your position - the less you will have to pay for a click.

How do they calculate the Quality Score?
Every time someone types in a keyword relevant to your ad, and by doing that triggers your ad, Google AdWords calculates the Quality Score. For the process of calculating the Google AdWords Quality Score, Google goes through number of different things related to your account. Namely, Google AdWords checks the relevance of your keyword – how relevant it is to your ads, how relevant it is to what a customer is searching for and how often that very keyword led to clicks on your ad. Google AdWords also reviews your whole account history – how well your ad has been doing on this and other sites, how successful your account has been in the geographic regions you're targeting as well as your overall click-through rate for all the ads and keywords in your account. Last but not least, they check how often you received clicks with your display URL and the quality of your landing page (destination URL).

How do you improve your Quality Score?
If you are not satisfied with your quality score, do not worry, there are procedures you can take in order to improve it. First of all Google AdWords offers you some tools that can help you with your keywords, placements, optimization and more. Besides tools, there are simple steps you may follow in order to increase Quality Score.

If you want to increase your Click-through Rate, the best way to do it is to make your ad interesting for a user to click on. You can achieve that by the use of punctuation in the key areas, making the title a question and ending it with a question mark, ending the final sentence with the string of three periods or with the use of symbols such as $ or % to make your ad stand out.

The use of the same keyword in your Ad Text as well as in the landing page will improve your quality score. For example, if you are offering a special discount or any kind of special offer for that matter, and display it in the ad text, be sure to display it in the landing page as well. Using the keywords that are most relevant to what the users are looking for will tell Google’s algorithm that your landing page is highly relevant to your keyword and your Ad. However, if you have a keyword which receives tons of impressions but has very low Click-through Rate makes sure to pause it as soon as possible as it will only decrease the CTR of your entire campaign.

Also, the use of an outbound links on your landing page that are relevant to your targeted keyword may help you increase your Quality Score. Make sure that the very web page has a good reputation (e.g. Wikipedia). This re-affirms to Google’s AdWords algorithm that your page is directly related to the users search query.

Google+ Gives You Control over Your Online Reputation

The Internet is here to stay. It affects every part of life including the social and business aspects. This is where online reputation management becomes a necessary tool to make sure that you are aware of what is going on with your reputation. Reputation management is about maintaining what is going on with you and having some control over your presence on the Web.

Google+ is one way to have that control. The services offered by them gives you options for controlling who is in your circle and who you would like to share information with such as videos, photos, links, etc. There are three steps to the process. Set up your profile and then create your circles to start sharing. This allows you the means to control your online reputation.

In creating your profile, you set up the basic information that you want to share. Add other information about yourself and then set your privacy levels. The last step in creating your profile is very important. Privacy settings allow you to control that sees beyond your basic profile. You get to choose who will photo tag you, who comment on your posts and who will send you notifications.

Creating your circles is very important in controlling your online reputation. You get to make sure that the right people see the right things. You are able to monitor who sees what and that is a great feature of Google+. This feature allows you to set what your friends see specifically and what your employer can see specifically.

The promotion of Google+ is that you share. Whether sharing involves videos, links or chats, the goal is to have great conversations. You can respond to posts by sharing or adding others to an ongoing conversation by forwarding posts.

Google+ has other features that help you have a rewarding experience. You can add tags in the photo section to images of you with others. This is a great feature for family and friends. There is an option to turn on “find my face.” This lets others add tag of you.

Hangouts is an application on Google+ that allows you to add up to nine people in a video chat session. This is great asset when you want to communicate with more than one person and generate lots of fun.
Social networking has become an integral a part of our culture. Whether the social networking is for business or pleasure, Google+ does give you the opportunity to manage that part of your online presence. As the social networking medium becomes larger and larger in the culture of today, the more instrumental it becomes in affecting and influencing lives.

This means that you want to take advantage of a tool that gives you the opportunity to manage your online reputation. With a tool like Google+, you can do just that. The advantage of arranging your communication circles and what information gets shared with whom is great stride in the right direction for using social networking.

As a matter of fact, the more the medium continues to grow, more and more personal information is collected about you. Google+ allows you to be the navigator in this forum. The more control you have over who sees what regarding you, the better control you have over your online reputation.

Since social networking is a very active part of life now, it is important to seek out tools that help maintain and control your online reputation. Google+ is one such tool. The option to share what you want and need to rather than having someone else have the control is what makes Google+ a great choice.
While online reputations have pluses and minuses, the big plus is you having control over yours. Applications will continue to be developed and fine tuned in this respect and the necessary thing will always be the ability to control and manage your online reputation.

As a Blogger I find Google+ a great tool for Business. Google+ for business is far better than others due to its seo value and many other factors.
Recommended Post: Google+ is Better for Business

You can check out all the features of Google+ and make a decision as to what you want to share. Whether your choice is for business or pleasure, the application is a good place to share. More than anything protection of your online presence is in your hands.

GoogleBot untold Story

GoogleBot untold Story

Around the time Google announced “Big Daddy,” there was a new Googlebot roaming the web. Since then I’ve heard stories from clients of websites and servers going down and previously unindexed content getting indexed.

I started digging into this and you’d be surprised at what I found out.

First, lets look at the timeline of events:

In Late September some astute spider watchers over at Webmasterworld spotted unique Googlebot activity. In fact, it was in this thread that the bot was first reported on. It concerned some posters who thought that perhaps this could be regular users masquerading as the famous bot.

Early on it also appeared that the new bot wasn’t obeying the Robots.txt file. This is the protocol which allows or denies crawling to parts of a website.

Speculation grew on what the new crawler was until Matt Cutts mentioned a new Google test data center. For those that don’t know, Matt Cutts is a senior engineer with Google and one of the few Google employees talking to us “regular folk.” This mention happened in November.

There wasn’t much mention of Big Daddy until early January of this year when Matt again blogged about it asking for feedback.

Much feedback was given on the accuracy of the results. There were also those that asked if the Mozilla Googlebot (known as “Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Googlebot/2.1; +http://www.google.com/bot.html)” in your visitor logs) and Big Daddy were related, but no response was made.

Now I’m going to begin some of my own speculation:

I do in fact believe the two are related. In fact, I think this new crawler will eventually replace the old crawlers just as Big Daddy will replace the current data infrastructure.

Why is this important?

Based on my observations, this crawler may be able to do so much more than the old crawler.

For one, it emulates a newer browser. The old bot was based on the Lynx text based browser. While I’m sure Google added features as time went on, the basic Lynx browser is just that – basic.

Which explains why Google couldn’t deal with things like JavaScript, CSS and Flash.

However, with the new spider, built on the Mozilla engine, there are so many possibilities.

Just look at what your Mozilla or Firefox browser can do itself – render CSS, read and execute JavaScript and other scripting languages, even emulate other browsers.

But that’s not all.

I’ve talked to a few of my clients and their sites are getting hammered by this new spider. It has gotten so bad that some of their servers have gone down because of the volume of traffic from this one spider!

On the plus side, I have clients who went from a few hundred thousand indexed pages to over 10 million in just a few weeks! Literally since December, 2005 there’s been a 3500% increase in indexed pages over an 8 week period! Just so you know, this is also the client’s site that went down because of the huge volume of crawling happening.

But that’s still not all.

I have another client which uses IP recognition to serve content based on a person’s geographic location. If you live in the US you get American content and pricing; if you live in the UK you get UK content and pricing. As you may imagine, the UK, US, Canadian and Australian content is all very similar. In fact about the only thing noticeably different is the pricing aspect.

This is my concern – if the duplicate content gets indexed by Google what will they do? There’s a good chance that the site would be penalized or even banned for violation of the webmaster quality guidelines set forth by Google.

This is why we implemented IP recognition – so that Googlebot, which crawls from US IP addresses only sees one version of the site.

However, a review of the server logs shows that this new Googlebot has been visiting not only the US content but also the content of the other sections of the site. Naturally, I wanted to verify that the IP recognition was working. It is. This leads me to wonder then; can this browser spoof its location and/or use a proxy?

Imagine that – the browser is smart enough to do some of its own testing by viewing the site from multiple IP addresses. If that’s the case then those who cloak sites are going to have problems.

In any case, from the limited observations I’ve made, this new Google – both the data center and the spider – are going to change the way we do things.

If you have experienced anything similar in the past few months to do with Google, be sure to add it to our comments section below.

Know about Google bot sites

Search Engine Roundtable has published a list of bots that belongs to Google. Bots, or robots is a software agents to gather information. Bots and robots from Google are also called web crawlers or spiders in which they are web robots that recursively gather web-page information, as does the bot used by Google (“GoogleBot”).

According to the article, current Google robots that are active including the common GoogleBot (compatible; Googlebot/2.1; +http://www.google.com/bot.html) which is the main spider for the search engine, MediaBot (Mediapartners-Google/2.1) which analyzes web pages with Google AdSense ads to determine relevant ads, ImageBot (Googlebot-Image/1.0) which crawls for the Image Search, AdsBot (AdsBot-Google) which checks Google AdWords landing pages’ quality, Feedfetcher (Feedfetcher-Google) which retrieves rss feeds when users explicitly added them to their Google homepage or Google Reader, Generic Mobile Phone (compatible; Googlebot-Mobile/2.1; +http://www.google.com/bot.html) which translates (or “transcodes”) these pages by analyzing the original HTML code and converting it to a mobile-ready format.

Other robot is Google WAP Proxy (Google WAP Proxy/1.0) which is a bridge for mobile phones to access and adapting to normal web pages via the wap protocol by converting .html to .wml.
